aristo, thanks. I knew about the Billy Bulger thing but had forgotten. I know the "Hill" term...used to read a lot of novels by Bostonian George V. Higgins (of "Friends of Eddie Coyle" fame) and one was titled "City on a Hill".

Many years ago, me and my brothers went to NYC , and went to where CBGB was because of it's connection with 'The Ramones', mainly, and punk rock in general. There's a street named after the lead singer on the corner - 'Joey Ramone Place'.

I think the spoked logo on the Bruins jersey is meant to symbolize it.

In the early 2000s went to a fiddle convention at Groton Ma, a few miles from Boston. Mostly urbanites but there was one in dungarees and baseball cap
