I've managed most of this, but I have a line of annoying gaps running down the right hand side.

This may be cured if some kind person would restart my flagging thinking with :

9A - Dressed down (not personally) after impudent language (6)
?????D

Thanking any responders in advance.

Not done the puzzle, but maybe sauced. Sauce is impudent language, and then d (own, personally, removed)

Quisling,

Thanks. I think this is spot on & I hope the "C" will enable me to work my way down the remainder.

Thanks again.

I’m bumping this thread as a duplicate thread has been posted but there are too many answers to transfer here.

2d In hot capital councillor is in cooler area (5) Accra?

34a Was too clever for overdue amount to be revised (13)
Outmanoeuvred? I can see the anagram, not the definition.

SBm I think the definition is 'Was too clever for', and 'revised' is the anagram indicator.

CR is councillor and AC is aircon (so cooler) A (area)

‘Was to clever’ I think is ok for outmanoeuvred.

I’ve never been to Accra but I imagine it can get quite hot, though Google tells me it’s only 26 degrees there right now.
