Hi Cockie

Yes, got it now. Thanks. It didn't help that I was trying to include the 2-digit entries as well! (note to self: read preamble carefully).

Enjoyed that very much, rare numerical for me that didn't involve going wrong and starting again at least once. Very satisfying seeing the sequence drop out.

Remarkable to generate such a sequence that adds up to that number. Lord only knows how Elap discovers such things.

For me, too, the first numerical where I've not had to backtrack and correct an error. I don't think that means it's too easy: it just means I've been better at following the logical path.

Thanks, Elap, for providing a numerical that I've enjoyed more than usual!

The letters stand for "the last one, two or three digits..." So 4 is certainly allowed.

Sorry, there's me thinking "Reply to this post" would put my reply after the post that I'm replying to! I was replying to lewap's query on page 2, (to which somebody gave a wrong answer).

Don't think so, tonyg - 04 would not be allowed, as I pointed out. 4 of course would be.

I've come to this late, having been away for a fortnight.

I found the instructions pellucid. If you have to right sum for the 33 three-digit entries, how to express it should be readily apparent.

It makes no difference to anything whether you express 4 as 04 or even 004, so why worry?
