Another fine puzzle from Gemelo. A friendly perimeter makes life a little easier. Superb construction with the film titles used in many different ways, and fortunately (for me anyway) no knowledge of the films required by the solver. Latin abbreviations are useful though.

Indeed Jono, although the film titles seem to have little relevance other than an amusing common thread.

A little harsh Buzzy - a super puzzle, I'm rather warming to Gemelo, though I do miss my Sunday Azed.

I’m with you, Jono. An elegant jeu d’esprit in the use of the film titles - and magnificently sustained.

Agree it was a clever use of the film titles.

There is one clue where I didn't understand the wordplay explanation...

27a - Beyond the first three in Rebecca rejected at all times (3)

I have no problem with the answer and definition, but "beyond the first three rejected" would surely give 'ber' rather than the answer?

Isn't it the first three letters of the alphabet that are rejected?

Ah! Many thanks Malone, I was thinking too literally which, I suppose, in a cryptic puzzle is a rookie's error 😢

PS - Let's call it a cardinal sin instead, that way I don't come off looking such an idiot:-)

Rejected is the reversal indicator, ‘beyond’ tells you to look at the characters which come after the ‘first three’
