A good effort from CheeseCracker today, I thought - their best yet and required some Chambers-bashing, unusual for the Speccie.

Not sure about the title though, it strikes me that the unclued entries are athematic more than simply clueless, unless I am missing something.

I think their cluelessness is the point.

Enjoyed the puzzle, felt quite Azed-ish in parts. I don’t see a connection between the unclued entries either.

Very enjoyable- much more like an "old school" Speccie than some of those of the last few years. If there was a theme I couldn't work it out to save my life...

Agreed. Cannot see any commonality in the unclueds, which are however long enough to be unambiguous

But upsetter I think that’s my issue: all unclued entries are of course by nature clueless - but normally there is some kind of connection.

In this case as there is no connection I would have thought some catchy way of saying athemality might have been more fitting.

But nice puzzle all the same!

Interesting article by Doc on the Spectator setting team. At the time of writing CheeseCracker was the most recent compiler to have joined the team.
