Nothing. Zero.

I’m conscious that I can’t ask for aid with every clue.

Could I please ask for help with 5a?

Show advertiser dog (6)

Quite an obscure double definition.

From Chambers:

barker

1. A dog
2. A barking dog
3. A tout advertising wares, a show, etc in a loud voice to attract custom
4. A pistol or cannon (obs sl)

Hi Druh,

This is a double definition. I didn't know the first but it's a "show advertiser" as in someone who calls out to attract customers and the second is "dog" - think of the sound it makes and then call it by that name.
