Is this replacing AZED?

You may not have seen this from Azed writing in the latest Azed slip…

“You will probably have read by now of the changes to the Azed format. Essentially, the competitions will remain on the first Sunday of each month, plus the extra at Christmas, and I shall continue as judge and author of the slip. Other puzzles will be set by Colin Thomas under the pseudonym ‘Gemelo’. After over fifty-three years without a break, I do rather welcome sharing the load from now on, with Colin as my partner in this. His first puzzle appears on 13 July, and the show goes on.”

I agree that this was an excellent start to the “job share”; and good to have a different style to get to grips with. 11 across was my last one - I laughed as I kicked myself….

Enjoyed this; don’t normally have time for advanced cryptic but this was fun on a quiet day. Any hints for 15ac 8d, 18d, 20d very welcome. Have ideas for the last three but not at all sure….

15a blue as in sad or ???? reversed in last letters of 2 words
8d archaic English word or current German word
18d first 3 words are the definition
20d a medic is someone who ????? people

Thanks from me too for your reply to brendan on 11d. I'd got the definition and answer but was baffled as to how to reconcile them. Not used to indexicals in the Azed spot. ;)

And more thanks to grahamderek for your "18d first 3 words are the definition". It was my LOI. Even resorting to word search hadn't yielded anything -- I see now that the word's hyphenation stymied that approach -- and so I found myself scanning Wikipedia pages for religious rebellions ending in Z.
I saw the answer instantly as soon as I'd read your post. An object lesson I think on not getting too fixated on one path when you've not properly exhausted a breadth-first search.

I suspect the letters appearing in the top left and bottom right cells are no coincidence!
