Well done, Mattrom. Thanks for hosting, Jono.

Many thanks to Fj for the vote, and to Darla and Geeker for the mentions. Made it worthwhile.

Also, thanks to Aristo for giving Ethel a ride.... Bless the old girl.

Congrats mattrom and thanks jono.

The clips about the Fleet were interesting (apart from "Legs akimbo!"). I fairly recently read a book about the lost rivers of London. It was one of the most boring books I've ever read, but I think it was from the 60s, so not by the person in the clip.

Incidentally, Bazalgette's great sewerage system was based on a total misconception. He thought that disease was caused by smells - "bad air", or "malaria" - so his system was intended to remove the sources of the smell.

John Entwistle's bass riff in the Fleetwood Mac clip was very disappointing!

Me @66
I meant McVie, of course - no idea why I said Entwistle

Thank you so much to Chrise, Spike, Paul, Darla, Aristo and Buddy for your votes.
Ta, too, to Jono for a fruitful word to clue and my prizes. Those Victorians certainly built structures to last.
Great guitar picking and vocals by FM.
Till next week.
