Very good I thought. Some neat clueing and teasing out the “not in the grid” words proved a challenge (for me at least!).

Yes, it was quite good fun this week. Most of the 'new words' came to me quite readily, so I just had to use what was left...

Four of the pairs are fairly obvious but the other two are very obscure unless I have made a mistake.

upsetter, as far as I can see, 2 of the expressions are simply pairs of words which "go" together while the other four consist of the combination of 2 words each condensed to produce a hybrid.

I think all 6 are "blended"

You may well be right, buddy, but I think it would risk spoiling it for others if we were to get into a discussion of specifics here.

Like Buddy I saw all 6 as 'blended'.

Finished this now but I'd got a bit over-attentive to the presence of the hyphen in the puzzle title! Nice idea, well executed.

Personally, I don't know any offices that have got a 1 down....

Our clerk Bartleby has one, though he prefers not to use it.
