I have solved half a dozen clues in the lower half of this puzzle, but the top half is empty.

Can I ask for guidance please?

I don’t know where to start.

Possibly the hardest clue in the puzzle.
The definition is awkward.
terminal means a last letter
pain gives a 4 letter synonym
you is textspeak, and needs to be fitted in

Thank you. I’m looking for a “head-scratching” emoji. I can’t see where ‘pain’ comes in.

So many people on the Guardian blog say the crossword is easy. Very frustrating!

You need a synonym for "pain" (possibly chronic rather than acute!)
