I am stuck and looking for some advice please.

11a - Risk’s always in syndicate selling out (9)

My usual…I have no idea what the definition is and how to look at any of the clue, to be honest.

14a - Perseveres, training sisters to break code (8,2)

Again, I don’t know how to look at this.

11a - selling out is definition. The rest is three small pieces of wordplay

14a - preserveres is definition and training is an anagram indicator

Thank you.

14a now makes perfect sense.

11a remains unknown (I got the first 3 letters and successfully guessed the word, but I don’t understand where the final 6 letters come from)
