Three poor clues in a row in the middle of the acrosses:

15 Agile bird with tail wagging in bed (4,3)
Why "agile"? It's not notably so, and it's unnecessary for the clue

16 Dichotomy of French and Italy's translation (7)
It should be "of the French"

18 Study of cranes, eg (11)
Cryptic??

Absolutely baffled by this! Can't guess at anything which makes sense. Can any of you clever people out there explain it to me?

6d A hit rose by poet, hearing flying pets (9)
?A?E?E?T?

Think it's probably ?A?A?E?T? - definition is the last two words, last syllable sounds like a poet :)
