The answer is very old 'army sections'. There a very common mode of transport and the much-loved, in crosswords ' very good'.

I am slightly struggling with the last of the unclueds - 32 down. I'm confident of the crossing letters and the relationship with the tenth unclued that links them all. There is one answer that I guess is the one intended and can be found in Chambers, but it is not something that "fits" in the same way the others in the triplet "fit". If I search on alternative words that work with the crossers along with an obvious word for the triplet's relationship, I can get a fair few hits, but I'm not convinced they are obvious enough to be the intended answer.

Hope this is not too obscure, but trying not to give too much away. Thoughts welcome!

If my solution is correct, then 32d is given in Chambers as "U.S. slang".
