Hi All!
I feel I probably got the answer to this but I'm always reluctant to write anything in unless I understand the 'why' so can you help me please?
6d Accommodation ahead of India (5)

I am assuming the answer is hotel - accommodation - but I don't get the rest of the clue

Hotel (H) is directly in front of India (I) in the NATO Phonetic Alphabet, LesleyD

Dog to make splash outside car club with duck (5,4)

It's a dog breed, and I can see the splash, but what's the car club?

The AA, with the O giving the 'duck'?

It's not quite right though, as the As don't appear together - something missing from the clue?

Doh. I'm getting confused with all the As!

Thanks, ChrisE. I often don't bother parsing answers, so was scared I was the one going astray! (PS And I also have a slight mental block with the spelling, I used to think the first word ended in O.)
