10a - I was initially puzzled as to in what circumstances do the answer 'after cycling' mean "streak", but after checking Chambers thesaurus, I see that it is listed.

23a - I think I might still be missing an element of the wordplay here. I've assumed it's a DD but, if so, then "success" seems sufficient as one of them ("had the desired effect" being the other), which leaves me wondering what part "in following" plays?

23a I think the first two words are synonyms for the two words in the answer. That accounts for “in”. Following confirms the order.

Mmm - all the hints and questions so far have been about ones I've solved! I'll probably be back for the others...

I've not parsed 5d - any hints?

5d - first 4 letters are a 3 letter anagram around "Troy" then a 6 letter "doing stuff"
