This is very frustrating. I have the 37 misprints, therefore the quote and its source - yet I cannot find the quote anywhere, Any help would be much appreciated.

Gitto, do you mean that you can't find the quote online, or that you can't find the grid entry to be altered?

I cannot find the quote on line - I have it beginning 5,4,2,5,4,2?

Try 2,3,4,2,5,4,7

Thanks mattrom, that worked - and it is now obvious what the set is. The only quibble I have is that A or S (in the same position) works for the correction in 6a. Clever puzzle though.

I also didn't understand 1a - but I do now.

The quote made me laugh. I’d not heard it before. A neat puzzle.

gitto - agree both show as synonyms ... so only became obvious when realising the quote ... my only blind spot is the parsing for 25A ... having answer plus any change required ... obviously not important this early but would like to hear 'as and when' not a spoiler for anybody else ...

Crates, 25a puzzled me too. Second word becomes an anagrind with the change, and fodder includes three final letters

Further to my last post - just for clarification - I have already completed - so not of any great importance - I'm just 'like a dog with a bone' ...
