This has proved to be one of the easier Private Eye crosswords but 14(a) Turned on by the ultimately risque state of being educated (8) has got me stuck. I have--t-r--- is puzzling me. The answer should hopefully wrap this one up for another fortnight. - Please !!

Looks like LITERACY. Turned on is LIT, the ultimately is E, risque is RACY, and the rest is the definition

I have SORDID for this but cannot parse ?

Sordid also looks right. Way is RD (road) so it’s way one, RD I inside SOD, b@stard. Sleazy is the definition.
