Yes, people completely outside my ken. I don't think I'll be watching the movie. But It is nice to have the puzzle finished before 25th.

I have a full grid but a query on the wp for the end of the second down clue. There seems to be only one entry in Chambers that it can possibly be, but I can't for the life of me work out the wp! Can anyone help?

Happy Christmas everyone! I thought this was good fun, so thanks to Lionheart for some holiday entertainment. The final solution is very neat.

I have two parsing queries that I would appreciate some help with. Please can someone help with two consecutive across clues? These are “Princess imprisoned…” and “Chinese takeaway…”.

"Princess..." Is a mythic Greek one. WP is indefinite article for one inside a 4-letter word for what HCA was.
"Chinese " is hidden across the last 3 words.

Last minute cry for help. I have a full grid and two messages. But my 18 word message ( 4 words on lines 5 and 7) is not symmetrical on either line. And I can't relate it to any particular film.

Nearly filled the grid: just stuck on the last two clues, which are "Princess imprisoned..........." and "Country blackbird.............". Any hints welcome.

ortolan - the 2 words on row 5 should be symmetrical. The lack of symmetry in row 7 is what the first sentence of instructions is referring to.
