10a four letter word for air (musical) plus back of four, definition -radio.
15d definition is shade as in colour 3 letter writer round synonym for match.
20a five letter wotdfor kind of chicken plus three letters from pad Thai regularly - name of a relish.

Here I am on a Monday which means a failure to solve over the weekend. NE corner was the problem and I picked up a few from the thread (thanks everyone) but I have, even after having read the whole thread, no ideas for 6D or 17A.
Sometimes seems odd that the ones I get stuck on are hardly mentioned at all - must say something about my odd brain I guess.
Gently hints appreciated. I'm assuming, and that it's safe to say on Monday, that the 'heart' of Manchester is somewhere in 6D, but I'm tired of looking at this and would just like to see it done, although I could wait for 225.
BTW - someone did post the last part of 4D so should be suitably admonished.

17a king is the current one (two letters), around a word for desert.

Still stuck, though one of those letters is in the southwestern town which has a team!
