Rogissimo, on 22D, in Welsh English the second syllable is pronounced exactly as required rather than as a schwa. Maybe Everyman is Welsh!

I would pronounce the second syllable exactly as required too, and I'm not Welsh (though ny father was!)

Took a while to get on Brockwell’s wavelength, an interesting and enjoyable as well as challenging crossword. I have no problem with pronunciation in 22d and I’m not Welsh.

By pure chance I saw the original RM at a (very big) pub in croydon. Madly good. Saw early Genesis there too.

Oh wow, that must have been great Samuipete, especially as Brian Eno would have been there. The two times I saw BF it was as a solo artist so he mainly played songs from his eponymous first album and Another Time Another Place, but there were some RM hits thrown in too - I've still got my Albert Hall tickets somewhere:-)

Any clues for 23d? I have the crosses (all the same letter) and a team that fits but don't see the mexican connection!
