Ah - heard of her, not of him! Thanks

This is driving me up the wall. I have answers for the 3rd and 6th wall clues, as I'm convinced that the 3rd is associated with the 4th,10th and 11th, and the 6th is associated with the 5th,7th and 9th but I cannot parse either answer. Neither can I solve the 8th wall clue even though I have the final 4 letters of it and I know the other 3 answers it is associated with (but not how). 16d and 17d are proving to be a real headache as well.

For the 3rd reverse everything - the two letters + the usual 'can' + the phrase for 'repeatedly hesitate' (** [and] **).
For the 6th I needed my wife's knowledge again (I'm a novice texter) the first word I knew, but having favoured the text I didn't know the abbrev. for how to forward it (2 letters).

8th - did a sprint (3 letters) + 'for one' reversed.

16d 'anyway' is two words (skip the last letter) and the answer is minus its first letter.
17d What Berks is minus the 'i' and the answer is missing the final letter.

drxx, I now see it. I was using a usual 3 letter abbreviation for the first 3 letters and trying to use that with the ** & **. I was confused at the time by "case only", but not now. BTW I have now solve 16d.

Hello drxx, I'm not as far on as you, and I have now gone fully up the wall. Having a lot of trouble parsing some clues. I have 5 unclued wall entries, and am still none the wiser. I also have an idea what the title may refer to. I may give up now.

I have 6 letters in the top left 9 letter across entry, including the firt and last letter, and am going spare not being able to deduce it. I have the entry beginning with K, so I realise that the clue for it has to be just befire it. LOL.

I've tried a hell of a lot, but can I have a hint as to those groups that aren't 4-lettered or scientific?
Plenty of others that I don't understand, like the first down, with 'foreign' meaning 'shagged'.

Shagged is all-in I think
