The whole video is very enlightening and it's helpfil in understranding the mindset of how a multiple winner approaches the clues but, in particular, the chess clue...

geeker, I played Epic Chess's James Gardner in the first game of our club championship the other day. For the first time in my life (and nearly 3.000 OTB games) I had to mate with bishop, knight and king v king. Down to playing on the 10-second increment I failed miserably. I hadn't practised it for too long. Reckon I can do it now after sessions on li.chess (click on the three lines top left and choose 'practice', 'Bishop and Knight mate', 'checkmate the engine').

No doubt you're all as shocked as I was about the sad death of Daniel Naroditsky.

I know some of you are aware of YouTuber Penguinz0, I don't mind him but find his frequent scatological references to be too offputting to be a regular viewer. He also played in the PogChamps under the name Moist Cr1tikal

I only mention that last part to give context to the absolute scathing attack he has just uploaded on Vladimir Kramnik. Seriously, he lets him have it with both barrels in this no holds barred onslaught:-

On a side note regarding the aforementioned Penguinz0, he recently uploaded a video asking people to stop sending money to his channel by way of $10 Super Stickers or however YouTubers entice people to send them cash.

He also aplogised for not doing it sooner but, as he said, better late than never.

His reason? Well, he showed his earnings from Twitch (I've never used it but apparently it's a platform for gamers) and Youtube for the last 2 years and they were in excess of $45,000,000!!

So, as he says, he doesn't want the average viewer with a regular job sending him money - he doesn't need it and if you feel like you have to give some away, then send it to a charity.
