I started at about 3.00pm in the garden, but driven indoors for more comfy chair. But then back out to plant some annual asters now we had rain last night - only 6.6mm. Hoping for more tomorrow, but I think the thunderstorms may miss us.

I've not done many, but relieved to see that it is a tough one. I've looked through the thread and will go away to think about a couple and I may look at Geekers spoiler. My FOI was 1d. I thought 11ac was going to be Verona, but I checked and it doesn't have a Port! and anyway I got 7d.

Perhaps a few clues will get me going. What is 10ac about. I only have the first letter.
What's the definition for 18,19?

11a is a hidden in the clue reversed

10a is part of a setting on the dining table

Well I've filled in an answer to every clue, but it has been difficult and I've lots I can't parse. Thank you to Geeker for your Spoiler. I'd never have got this without your spoiler. And thank you to everyone for the other hints.

Answers I can't parse completely are 4ac (the middle letters), 12ac (the second word), 19ac (which is the second word), 24ac (the first four letters and the last three), 2d, 13d, 16d, 20d and 22d. I've just noticed that I haven't got 23d, so that will be my LOI.

My FOI was 1d, my COD was 8ac

I found this really hard and not at all pleasurable. But no doubt I'll try again next week. I'd never have finished it without the help here.

Defn. "telegraph", it's 1 ,1 ("compiler" and "right") inside 2 ("the Guardian").

Roof. The first three letters to 4a are a type of file format for online pictures. You might not know it. It's plural so the Tango appears before the s.

Well, I got there at last, but I found much of it really difficult, and I'm not sure I would ever have done it without some help from this forum. FOI 10a, LOI 22d. COD 18,19 without a doubt. That was one of the clues that I found really hard, but when I got there I liked it. Others that I liked were 4a, 25a, and 5d.
