23 Lapse, mistake. Anagram ('balls') of Slap and the last letter, 'end of', paddle.

29 Largesse, charity. Large, grand, with Es and S (start of sex) inside.

27a Supporter: "It's good when ex-president loses his head".

The answer must be "Girder" , but apart from the G (Good) I cannot parse it.
