Muraria, we can enter the next Olympics as a team. I'm sure the crossword matches would be as thrilling as beach volleyball, say.

I was doing well, got theme…partly? But been stuck now for a while in the SW. I’d like a steer for 22d and 37d. If they aren’t both thematic.

Neither is thematic, lumen. In 22d local would usually be clued as posh. 37d is a double definition

I'm finding this one all a bit odd. I have the theme, the 13 letters and what they make but not 11 modifications (only 7) and still have 3 clues unfinished/unparsed. eg 2d I have an answer that fits with what I think needs to happen to make it work but the parsing defeats me. 12d is similar but I assume it's a straight clue.

2d is the 'Third of fish increased twenty-fold in streams'
12d is 'Loco part made in China'

I have both of those!
3d misprint in final word. Twenty fold is a convoluted way of changing one letter in the answer.
12d is a simple anagram (8).
Can you help me with 22d and 37d. No further forward !

22D was so easy that I didn't spot it for ages, as I assumed it was going to be an obscure name for a foreign festival. Three letter girl (dialect, but everyone uses it), plus one-letter for acting. Definition is festival.

27D was a new word for me twice over, as it's a double definition. Think of one of the most common measurements and shorten it.
