When homophones usually rely on RP it’s fun to see one that doesn’t!

...and his Brummie accent is essential if this homophone is to work.

OK, that sorts out my problem with 7dn. On to 21ac...
I have the last three words as the definition to be used elsewhere, but only the last word seems to work, leaving 'drive with' redundant. Any hints?

When asked what he would like to drink Noddy (reportedly) answered that a 'kipper tie' would do nicely!

Jif 73, the unmodified answer to 21 across is hidden in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th words of the clue. It's a very obscure word but when changed becomes the definition in 15a.
I am still stuck on 10 across and 3d. I assume the definition for 10a is in 9a but the only word I can find means either "pipes" or "horses' anuses"! I can't make head nor tail of 3d.

10a, for party think politics. Def is not in 9a.

3, mirror means reverse "provided", 20% means take 1/5 of the word, followed by an abbreviation for small.

Thanks Buddy. I had forgotten to modify 1 across which is obviously now what is defined in 9a ; and I was thinking that "party" in 10 was the usual 2 letter word.

Thanks for the geographical information, barretter - I hope the people 20 minutes up the M6 aren't as miffed as the people 50 minutes down the A19 get when they're mistaken for Geordies.
