28a - I think this will go down in Prize history as one of the toughest Prize clues, even though it's a straightforward anagram:-)

.... I think part of the problem is that 15d has two valid spellings, one ending ER and one RE and, if you choose wrong, well - good luck making sense of 28a! 😜

Struggling to parse 23a, though I'm sure I'm missing something very straightforward. Any hints on where the first two letters of solution come from?

23a - The first 2 letters are an old setter's favourite - "it" = S(ex) A(ppeal) as 'the it girl/boy'

No ideas for 26a. I cannot find anything in the solution wizard or my xword cheat book of lists. ?o?t?n?r?s. TIA

On 23a I took the first two letters from the first two words, rather than"it". Either works I guess.

I did wonder if it came from first two words, but then what would the definition be?
