Eek, look after yourself Roof! Hope you make a swift recovery.

I normally enjoy these large ones to do gradually over a holiday period, but with everything going on this year I can't properly get into this one. I've done a section in the middle and a smattering of others, and I have the theme so hopefully at some point my head will clear of life chaos and it'll come together.

Thanks for all the hints provided so far, very useful in helping me make some more progress.

Many thanks jojo and mattrom - I had never heard of either 10d or 29ac.

Hi everyone

I have now nearly finished with the help of a friend. Neither of us can get 22ac, though we think it ends in a four letter fish. The clue is German trader from the Baltic took bit of food from glutton. But Hanseatic League doesn't seem to come into it.

We have ?A?T?R?I?G

I can’t quite parse this clue 22a, though I have the correct answer. For the first six letters, I think it has S inside a five letter synonym for glutton. Not sure how S comes though. May be S is for supper or square meal.

Hi. Like you I found myself having the answer to 45a but unable to parse it. Unlike you I wasn't able subsequently to clarify matters. Yes, I do see a fish in the last free letters - ide, but for the life of me, I can't work out the rest of it. Is it anything to do with the word, "intrepid"?
Please help.
