Cymru- 34a what would make a short hymn, or maybe a poem? Do you mean 44d? The themed element is a bit obscure, and the whole word is to do with the theme.

spinynorman1 - earth = think of badgers. The themed element is repeated (mimicked?) elsewhere.

Cymro - look at eviltony’s reply to my plea earlier. The answer is quite obscure, first part is where people live, second part vegetables associated with your part of the world, going by your username!

Last one - 20A - Scottish couple could have taken flight thus. ??a. No clue so would appreciate a hint. Thanks

I would just like to say how much I have enjoyed solving this puzzle. It took hours, but it was very enjoyable and the various postings on here have helped quite a bit.
