As in the Bow Street Runners. Funnily, I was thinking an ‘old bean’ was a bit of a live one, but Malone has it

Pushing it a bit to call a runner bean an erection, even though its support structure might be. Cyclops is not exactly playing by the rules these days. Or maybe I’m missing something. Even so I should have seen through live one, so thanks for the help.

JohnT, I think it's 'an erection in the garden for this' as the definition.. Well, that's if runner beans need stakes or something similar!

Malone, you are right if course, I should think more deeply about it before maligning Cyclops. I am grateful to you. Keep up the good work.

JohnT, thanks. I know nothing about the needs of runner beans, I must have just read the clue correctly!
