the definition is : representation of an idea

for the first" but" use the synonym- "though"

then use the second "but" as it is.

then use bible but without one the i. "bble"

So the elements for the two word anagram are:

though+but+bble

I hope this helps.

Hello,

I'm stuck on the parsing of 25A. I see that "The French" gives LE but can't work out how the rest of the answer is arrived at.

Thanks!

Hi Trickyvic,

As you say "the French" is LE + FT (newspaper) + IS from the clue and (ul)T(ra) essentially.
