I'll kick this one off this week.not for the first time, I find myself with a completed grid + associated messages, but baffled by the endgame, if, indeed there is one.
I have a books of the Bible connection for my unclued
I have LETTERS NOT APPEARING IN ELEVEN, SEVEN, TWENTY-ONEin the perimeter

I make these
the A in EZRA
the O in MOUSSAKA
the L in DEALER

So my "shaded" letters (the source material) are VKAOL.

I have a queasy feeling about the title of the puzzle and 26 Down GIB +E.

Is there anyone out there who can explain what I'm missing?

I have letter (singular not plural) and 11 down is Ezra so you nee the letter which does not appear in Ezra Chapter 7, Verse 21 in the King James Version.
