Anyone else getting stuck with 10d & 19ac?

10d Old line in with new article (6)

I have - o - u- -. Can’t really work out what the definition is.

19ac Stick (6)

I have - - - e - e. Looks like COHERE, ADHERE or perhaps FREEZE. Could be a noun of course and a name for some sort of stick but nothing is jumping out at me.

The second letter of the answer is the last letter of 10d.

Any thoughts? Do I have some wrong letters?
