This is a query for the same crossword, which I did find a little difficult but somehow dreary to solve.
I am stuck on just the one clue :
14 across : Kind of horse judge impounds (6)
R-T-ER

The definition is just a word meaning'kind of'. The 'judge' is a five-letter word (meaning someone who assesses...) with the usual 'horse' inside ('impounds').

Thanks, Stevcl, glad I could help. I spent longer than usual on that clue when I did the puzzle - I was expecting more from the 'judge'!

A couple of clarifications for me, please:

7d Coach Carter attentive no longer - not convinced by ‘no longer’. Usually means it’s listed as ‘archaic’ in Chamber’s, but this word isn’t?

12a Seen dancing without my extra turns - can’t quite parse this beyond the obvious ‘Seen dancing’ part.

Also, why the title?
