Having trouble parsing two clues...
2D) Ship's rigging in boxes (5) S?A?S. I am guessing "spars". SS is ship but how does par relate to rigging? Maybe "spats"?
8D) Pass on music, performing key records (3,4,5) I am guessing "pop one's clogs but cannot parse it. Music could be pop, records are logs but I am left with the letters o,n,e,s,& c which should relate to performing key.

2d. Is it not just a double definition ?
8d. performing = on + esc (key on a computer keyboard).

Thank you Ginge. Yes, I have just looked up "spar" and it is a general term for nautical booms and masts. Would never have thought of "on + esc".
