16 - should that be 'Grasses' rather than 'Glasses' or am I missing some spoonerismus?

'Glasses' is correct, with a five-letter (informal) term for them involved in the spoonerism.

Yes, your checked letters are correct. Both are Type II clues, so the spoonerism is in the clue itself (words 4/5 of 26a and 7/9 of 22d). Hope that helps...
