The answer lengths are missing!

Makes it a little more tricky, but not unreasonably so.

If you feel that you need the answer lengths, they are:

Yes, and I wouldn't want solvers to be put off by their absence (which does make the 'cold solving' a little more difficult, particularly given that some of the clues are quite tricky), which is why I've provided the lengths for anyone that wants to temper the challenge just a little bit.

I thought it was going to be hard without the lengths of the answers but it turned out relatively easy once I got the 2 12-letter answers. A fun crossword, I really enjoyed.

I certainly wouldn't call it easy, but I found it very engrossing, as I always do with Azed. A good workout.

This was an excellent puzzle (in contrast to the Guardian Easter puzzle which was a mess due to unclear instructions). Azed specials are always a treat.

I am unable to parse the second clue (five letters) though I have the answer.
Brief time in small early section dictionary, pulsating.
If the brief time is an abbreviation for hour where does the dictionary come in? Any help would be welcome.

Having spent all day on Saturday and Sunday morning finishing the bank holiday Guardian, the prospect of a jigsaw without answer lengths seemed like double punishment! Life's too short.
