Letters correct, clarkgwent. It isn't English, though!

Pig called out for flavouring (6)
The closest I've come is BORAGE, but it doesn't work.

Chris: And the dodgy definitions in 4D, 24A and 26A (it's not a wolf!), and the French answer, and the exclamation, and the casual reversal of the usual phrase in 11A. Not many reasons for the setter to feel self-satisfied about this one.

I agree about 4d. Last one in - it parses well, but the definition is very loose.

I'm reasonably happy with 26 being a wolf, though. It's as closely related as the other wolves are to each other.

I'd post the Wiki link, but that would give the answer.

26a "kind of wolf "is the def. (not wolf)
Both belong to the family Canidae so acceptable, in my view
