If the conversation includes bakelite, Tintin, the Bank of England, Bradley Wiggins, Dominique, a V - sign and Audrey Hepburn, chances are which game is being played?

I think I see a connection...

Bradley Wiggins and Audrey Hepburn were born in Belgium.

Dominique was a song sung by 'the singing nun', Jeanine Deckers, a Belgian.

A part Belgian, Leo Baekeland, invented Bakelite.

Tintin's creator Hergé was of course Belgian.

Belgian Victor de Laveleye popularised the V for victory sign in 1941, before Churchill adopted it.

The Bank of England, and I'm struggling here, has initials BE which is also Belgium's ISO code.

As for the game - I can't really be too confident: football perhaps? England's last game in the World Cup was against Belgium in the 3rd place play off (and England lost 2-0 btw).
