Lumen, I thought the title lead to An ??? For An ???, which could be justice, revenge.

I didn't do the two words in the grid - so if they're anything significant I have missed that completely!

(1,3) at the beginning of 5d and as given in the preamble, appropriately placed.

I no longer have the puzzle and may have marked it down wrongly but I'm referring to the clue not the answer.

Think ginge means the 1,3 starting the 5d clue, with the same running across 23a, 5d.

Ah, sorry for the crossed posts everyone, at least we all seem to be on the same wavelength!

Quite enjoyed unravelling this one but as I said previously, too many hints confusing things....
