6d Huge disgrace involving a drunkard (4) BLA?
there may be an additional word in the clue, the answer may also be 3 or 5 letters

I am missing some letters from the 2nd phrase so can't see what to highlight... I have T EC A GI OFF

3d Greek had columns to answer being suppressed by Sun... can't parse ... have the answer Greek columns... so "had" might be extra ? ... can also see stoa hidden ..... but where does the Sun come in?

3 The H is extra. I think the parsing is 'To a(nswer)' with the S at the front coming from 'being suppressed by Sun'.

6I don't have a second F at the end. There's something between your T and E, then your C word should be a little longer.

I type too slowly!

I'm sure you'll fix the second word in the phrase.

Good, Scarlett. I sometimes think that asking for help gives our brains one last little kick-start!

I'm not sure of the wordplay for 36 A.

Dutch hiker regularly stops, ultimately kicks hiking-boots off (5)

(with a spare H word)

malone - D(utch) + hIkEr + (stop)S = DIES ('hiking-boots' is extra).

Thanks, Drxx - I think I was looking for something more complicated! I'm often guilty of underthinking... this time I went to the opposite extreme.

Finding the definition in Chambers was slightly more complicated. The hyphenated entry is quite a long way from the one that matters.

Need hints on Foreign (for me) references:

14. Wedding venue is able to wow Australian (4)

16. A Welsh town triumphs under Scots? (6)

22. Local lass Elsie chases a star playing bar in Edinburgh (8)

32. Earl seen in Twickenham pub before old mucker (6)

Will be back if need more help.
I have guessed the phrase from Down clues since I have most of
the extra words. The only 8 letter word I can think of begins with M and ends in G? Warm or cold?

Thanks.
