Well done Chrise and well hosted KT17 - it`s more fun inventing clues than running the show! - enjoyed the clip ... my favourite subject!
Thanks for the votes Chrise & Thea (penda) and the mention Spike2

@Aristophanes - I cannot contain my curiosity: how did you get to be at the premiere of this wonderful film?

I just happened to be visiting a college friend in Greenwich Village and he had tickets for it. It was a rather appreciative crowd.

Thanks kt - an unfamiliar word to me, is it more commonly used in the US? Thanks for the mention, rossim.

Well done, chrise - glad sufficient others felt the same way!

@SteveA6000 - yes you are correct.

It was unfamiliar to me too. With the clip in mind I had intended to use the word HAYWAIN (7) but to my surprise I found that this word is not given in Chambers (2014).

I did toy with the idea of using KNOCKERS (8) but didn't feel it would be a fun word to clue.

Chambers led me to HAYRIDE.

And that's what we call them in New England. We still have them too.

@Aristophanes - well thank you, that is really rather marvellous, and new to me.

How we can do with this kind of upbeat cheer just now!
