@Tyke 51 Thanks - I've counted Rossim's vote for ChrisE #13

Paul was suggesting that there was a vote for Penda and a vote for Rossim, which I cannot see.

Am I wrong?

Hi KT,
Paul meant that he was voting for #13, in preference to the others.

Hi kt I think that rossim and myself were mentioned in despatches but not voted for. See you in a few minutes Thea(Penda)

Good evening all. We have a clear result.

With one vote we have
Spike2 #19
Mattrom #12
Paul #6 and one for #7
Dorrien #27 and
Aristophanes #4

With two votes Tyke51 #18

And this week our winner, with four votes, is ChrisE #13 who produced a deliciously frisky clue:

"Hi Deary, fancy an excursion?" (7)

Congratulations to all on a high standard of entries with a word difficult to define with misdirection.

The prize, also a little frisky - it has a PG certificate, may be found here:

Congratulations ChrisE!

Well done kt 17. Thanks for the votes from paul, stevea (I'm very grateful that you entered with the intention of voting for me!), mattrom (despite me not liking her Clueless winner!) and rossim.

Also the like from dorrien.

I just rregret that it had to be "Deary" rather than "Dearie"!

Congratulations, chrise! And thanks, kt. I was at the world premiere of that movie in Manhattan some centuries ago. Thanks so much for the vote, dorrien, and for the mentions, mattrom and paul.

Well done, Chrise. I did hesitate....over "deary", but Chambers has them both.
A big thank you to JWS for your vote, and to Aristo and Tyke for the mentions.
Thanks also to KT for hosting. I thought it was a good word to clue.

Hi Dorrien, I don't know if it is in common usage. I originally had "one" but thought "an" provided a better surface.
