Hi mattrom - was trying a theatrical theme

Somehow managed to convince myself play=dare (maybe from a sporting or gambling perspective) it does seem very loose however.

Thanks, BBM2.

Thanks to all who contributed, and welcome to kt17. This week we have 30 clues from 14 setters, including a record-breaking? 13 from pedagogue.
My not-so-short list included stevea #20, aristo's beguiling #21, dorrien #27, FJ #29, ginge #54, BBM2 #56, pedagogue's #4 (I preferred it to #33), 26, 32 & 53.
This week's winner is pedagogue with his subtractive anagram (I've taken the liberty of correcting the typo)

One who laughs at danger, takes a risk and throws a silvered dirk

Congratulations, pedagogue. Your prize was going to be a compilation of failed stunts, but I found it too excruciating, so I've gone with something cute and fluffy;

I think a similar clip has been used before, but it's worth a second outing.
Thanks to aristo for the limerick, and Happy St. Valentine's Day.
Cheers.
