All of your extra words are correct bar 'digital' - you need 'digital' ('fingers') for the definition part of its clue. you should be able to get the common synonym from the ones you have.

note - you'll have to look a bit deeper for 'rode' and 'marlin' - don't settle on the first definitions you see for these words.

As this is probably all academic now, I had the first few down clues as:

Col 2 - PAOLO
Col 3 - AGRASTE
Col 5 - CNUT
Col 6 - HARPER
Col 7 - MOORE

2 was a guess based on something I saw on here, 6 I couldnt get to parse but if fits lol.
