I was relieved to hear that your 'lap dancing' was completely wholesome. I'm sure you're dancing with joy, celebrating your brief spell in the great outdoors. Just look out for people armed with measuring sticks, pikes.

Thanks. I knew you would get it, but I'm sure Tyke and jigjag thought it was the other version (which I've never done nor will I be doing).

I am going out now, and will take your advice to avoid all the devices that others have been using increasingly lately.

I`m pleased you`ve ended the speculation, I trust you weren`t offended by my suggestion and hope you`ve enjoyed your walk/dance/perambulation!

It may be an instruction to your erm..."client" - pay dancer!

Absolutely nothing wrong with paying dancers - members of the Royal Family have been doing it for years (allegedly!)

I enjoyed Sir Geoffrey batting for Yorks & England but I also remember, with sadness, the `troubles` - when YCCC was virtually torn apart by his ardent supporters. When members voted on GB being appointed President of the Club I was one of the `109` who voted against.

Hi Tyke, I knew GB was a divisive figure in cricket but I never really understood why. Then I worked with a guy who explained to me that GB was more concerned with his batting average than playing a risky shot in a run chase, for example.

Hi Brendan

Ian Botham famously ran GB out on purpose because the team needed to score quick runs. Fred Trueman, Brian Close, Ray Illingworth and Jack Hampshire were all Yorkshire and England players who were as talented as GB and none of them has a good word to say about him.

Talking about Boycott, have you heard this?

We heard it live while driving, and had to pull off the road!

Hi Chris,

I was writing a reply to you post saying how surprised I was that I'd never heard about this and how absurd it is to rewrite history then, just as I was about to hit "send", I heard the outcome! - (I won't say it because I don't want to spoil it for anyone else).

Of course I wasn't offended, quite flattered in fact that you thought I could do the job.

I didn't see GB play but he seems divisive. I enjoy his commets on TMS though.
