I am sure that this is the worst clue that I have EVER seen . . in a newspaper cryptic

For any number of reasons (least of which is the fact that I could not solve it) . .

Clue: Punch needed to start it - like an ugly Eskimo woman (6)

Will provide answer (if needed) after receiving members POV's

I've seen the clue written slightly differently, presumably has the same answer.

Can't say I like it much either.

Jigjag, I think it's Icebag - a stupid clue.

Assuming that the solution is (3,3) rather than (6), and the second version is the correct one, then I'd say that there are certainly a couple of issues with the clue but it's not the worst I've seen by a long chalk.
