Yes, that's right. For some reason the main thread is headed EV 3762.

Alwayspuzzled (and jigjag), I think the original poster on that thread used EV for Everyman! There was another later post for that query.

19 - IS with a Shakesperian king in reverse.

22 - this is 5 letters. A 3-letter word for a record, a letter for note in it plus A. Overall a word to do with music.

19 Lear is the sh patriarch ...reverse and put IS in front for the bible man

22d is a 5 letter answer which then has a letter added on for the theme... alog = a record with n(name) inside

def ...extended note

This may seem shameful to some, but I seldom notice the number of the puzzle I'm doing! If it's Sunday and there's a thread entitled 'EV', I'd assume it's todays Enigmatic Variations. If I was looking for assistance, I'd read any and all EV threads.

I think I'm confused.

I have n as third letter in 22d. To fit AN???G gives a conflict.
30a of tablets answer I have is ST???NE. Is that wrong?
