which I am not sure.

1..A special scientist obtains a junction possibly (8)


2..Good or bad she/he records events for the public (10) (journalist?)


3..This maid must be polite in public (5,7) (civil servant?)


4..Usually tidies up after one's end (10) (undertaker?

1 obtains + t - botanist

Thank you Escher - I has somehow not considered the anagram plus t and am grateful for your response. I should be grateful if you or anyone else can shed a light on the other questions or can confirm the ones I have put a potential answer to?
