Hello everyone!

Quite a reasonable turn out so far, considering the word offered
so few possible anagrams;

There is still a good hour to go for some more participants, so
feel free to write that "killer clue"!

I have a slight problem regarding the time though as I have friends
arriving around that time and we should all meet where one of them
gets off the coach, and go for a drink!
Now, I cannot possibly not be there, so if nobody minds, the
judging ceremony might be delayed slightly!

Thank you for parsing all your clues - particularly needed for one or
two, BUT I still need to check a parsing for BBM @7 and his quad,
definition - I think I get it, but just in case.

Thanks in advance for everything

Hi pigale - my clue is four definitions strung together.

Stop = defeat as in prevent from continuing
mate = defeat in chess
taking out = defeat as in taking out one's enemy
crush = defeat as in overwhelm

the surface reading is trying to imply "Prevent friend from dating a girl I fancy"
